
Is Guitar Hero World Tour playing catch up with Rock Band in the DLC department? We will see in the coming future but for now your tour doesn’t end here!
Activision announced this week that it plans to expand its track library a little more in February along with this weeks releases. This week we see the debut of Bruce Springsteen to the video game world. The track pack will include 2 songs and be available for download the week of January 27th. The track pack will include the classic hit “Born to Run” and “My Lucky Day” a brand new track off his album Working on a Dream that releases Tuesday the 27th. It will be available for download for FREE the first week that the album releases. After that it will cost you 320 points on Xbox LIVE and TBA at the Playstation Store and 200 points on the Wii.
Three new track packs will be released in February with multiple genres and a variety of artist for fans to download. The first pack set to hit the stage the week of February 12th includes song like “Drive” from Incubus, “New Slang” from The Shins and lastly “Wonderwall” from Ryan Adams.
Paul McCartney’s band Wings plan on hitting the stage again the week of February 19th after the debut of “Band on the Run” on the Guitar Hero World Tour Disc. The pack includes “Junior’s Farm,” “Hi Hi Hi” and “Jet” which are three top 10 hits from the band.
Rounding out the month of hits is none other than Bob Seger. The Seger track pack will include the hits “Old Time Rock and Roll,” “Her Strut” and a live recording of “Get Out of Denver” set to be available the week of February 26th.
The 3 track packs will be available on Xbox LIVE for 440 points each, the Playstation Store for the PS3 at $5.49 or you can download them as singles for 160 Microsoft points and $1.99 on the PS3 and 200 points on the Wii.

Yeah, I’ve previously stated this. GH just flat out sucks compared to RB if you ask me. RB’s history of DLC is unmatched, arguably by any game from any genre.
