[UPDATE (thanks to GameStooge for the update): GIB now says that Activision made a mistake.
"We apologise for the confusion caused by this morning's mailout," said Frank PR in a statement.
"Further to the erroneous information which was distributed this morning regarding Tony Hawk: RIDE, we would like to clarify that the game is due to be released on the following platforms: Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Wii."
Chatter amongst the games industry is suggesting the game may be a timed exclusive for Xbox 360 in Europe, allowing for more time to manufacture the bundled skateboard peripheral when it eventually releases on Wii and PS3 at a later date - and that Frank PR may have jumped the gun by announcing the deal before E3 in June.
No, really, guys. This whole limited time exclusivity in one region is pretty boring. Stop it.]
After all the hype and speculation about the new game it seems that Microsoft is trying to pull a fast one in the UK. Could this be away to get back at Sony and Atari for the Ghostbuster exclusive in UK. Maybe we will just have to wait and see but reports say that it could happen.
A report shown here is saying that Activision has confirmed that the title will be a Microsoft exclusive for now. Sorry Wii and PS3 lovers. But that those in the rest of Europe and the US aren’t likely to be affected.
Wonder how much this is going to cost Microsoft? Should titles be held exclusive in different regions? I can see games across platforms but exclusive to regions, what a way to get screwed! Sound out and let us know what you think.
