Good podcast! It was a good listen. I will have to strongly disagree with one point made, though. There really is no way Sony could have “rushed” their motion controller after seeing Microsoft’s. Projects like that take months to put together, not less than 24 hours. Even rushing an in house tech demo for a presentation like that would be next to impossible. And I agree, Sony’s will be much more focused for the core gamer, while Natal is doing a better job at wiggling into Nintendo’s casual space. Again, two different approaches from two different sides, both pretty standard for their respective companies. I think they’ll both succeed in that sense.

I think the point we were trying to make was that Sony was NOT ready to unveil their new motion-tech at E3. It had to have been in development for quite some time, but they may not have planned on showing it off at E3, possibly saving it for TGS.

True, seeing how now it’s been announced that more details will be coming out at the Develop Conference in Europe next month. Hopefully they unveil a name, and the final design for the actual controller. I really hope they don’t actually release with those “Fisher Price” wands, lol!
