Countdown timers are horrible. Often times the hype isn’t worth the pay off, especially when you sit there, constantly refreshing, while a half a million other people are doing the same. The countdown timer has been vanquished! In normal Japanese gaming magazing fashion, Weekly Shonen Jump has spoiled Square Enix’s fun by unveiling the surprise at the end of their latest countdown. The game is called The Four Warriors of Light: A Final Fantasy Anecdote, and it is being developed for the DS.

Today Activision announced in conjunction with GameStop, if you pre-order a copy of Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2 for the PS3 or Xbox 360 from a GameStop, you shall receive an exclusive playable character – the Juggernaut. No news if this deal will be available in other areas, i.e. EU.
