There’s something about that taunting dog that made me want to constantly play Duck Hunt until my eyes hurt. This target shooting game was highly addictive by the fact that it was extremely repetitive and used the NES zapper light gun so well.
While not being the most innovative game ever, it does stand as quite addicting for its simple premise.

Duck Hunt was so easy to pick up and that was the probably the one of the best parts about it; it was a very accessible game to people of all ages. Children, teens and even adults could get sucked into the fun and simplicity of Duck Hunt. I can remember playing this game for hours and hours with my cousins, each of us taking turns and trying to out-do one another. And after the first few shots: you were probably hooked like I was.

So thank you Duck Hunt for sharpening my reaction time as well as introduce me to light gun enabled video games. Oh yeah, and thank you for also stealing countless hours out of my precious childhood.

Duck Hunt was the best. If you want a similar addicting game, try Wild West Guns for the Wii. I can't stop playing it!
