gog Huge Holiday Sale at Gog.comLike many other game companies in December, gog.com is holding a holiday sale, slashing prices as much as 40% in some places. The sale will continue through January 3, 2010 and basically every game in their catalogue is experiencing a price cut.

Good Old Games focuses on digitally distributing PC games that are DRM free. Some of the gems in this sale include the original Fallout and Fallout 2 ($3.89 each) and Beyond Good and Evil for $6.99. The sale even sports some combo deals like the “Tom Clancy Pack” (Ghost Recon and Rainbow Six) for $13.98.

Those who dig further into the sale will even come across some free games like Tex Murphy 1 & 2 (free until Christmas Eve) and Beneath A Steel Sky. Even if you are unsure if you want to try these games out, it is encouraged to visit the site and create an account. From there, any games (including the free ones) could be added to your account for download later.

In addition to the holiday sale, gog.com is also running a holiday contest. Gog.com will be changing screenshots for some of their games. Correctly answer which screenshots have been altered by January 1, 2010, and you could be one of the five winners selected that will be awarded a voucher for a free gog.com game.
