Cliff Bleszinski has tweeted a teaser on a possible Gears 3 announcement on his Twitter account today. The design director at Epic Games has been discussing and confirmed the news recently, that Marcus and Dominic, from the Gears of War series, are going to make a cameo appearance in Capcoms Lost Planet 2. While posting some replies in connection to the announcement he went on to state “Yes, that’s the news. I said “kick ass” which I think it is. Keep your eyes open for “megaton face melting news“.

Now taking into consideration that Microsoft’s X10 event is coming next month, we can only logically assume that this “face-melting news” will be revealed then. The interesting thing being, that we have heard only various rumours about the third sequel though have yet to hear any solidified announcements on the game.
