In an official press release, DICE, a studio of Electronic Arts, Inc. announced the launch of the Battlefield: Bad Company 2 multiplayer demo for all PlayStation 3 users, effective immediately.

The Battlefield: Bad Company 2 demo features the game’s Rush mode and takes place at Port Valdez, a map that will place a large emphasis on vehicles. Rush mode is a match type where players will battle for positions along a path that will unlock and progress with successful captures, placing a large emphasis on squad based strategy. The demo version of Port Valdez will also feature three air and five land vehicles ranging from Main Battle Tanks to Quad Bikes and Mobile Armored AA and allow up to 24 players at one time.

Battlefield: Bad Company 2 had recently been in beta testing for the PlayStation 3 and as Go! Gaming Giant recently reported, there is currently a demo available for Xbox 360 and PC. Gamers that missed the opportunity to play previously are encouraged to take part in the multiplayer demo.

The Battlefield: Bad Company 2 demo is accessible through the PlayStation Network and will run from February 4, 2010 until February 25, 2010. The game will hit shelves in North America on March 2, 2010 and Europe on March 4, 2010. Retailers worldwide are also still taking pre-orders on the Regular and Limited Editions of the game.
