Didn’t pick up Vigil Games’ Darksiders last month? Maybe all of  that positive word-of-mouth wasn’t enough for you to drop 60 bones on it? Hey, don’t worry! Nobody’s judging you — not even the developers!

Vigil Games will be releasing an extensive demo of Darksiders on the Xbox Live Marketplace and PlayStation Network. General Manager David Adams explains in the demo’s announcement that Vigil,

“really wanted to give gamers a true idea of the variety of gameplay that the game offers…rather than just making a standard 20-minute demo version of the first few levels, we decided to give away this massive level and reveal the true essence of the game.”

The developers claim the demo will “take approximately 90 minutes to complete for the average player.”  While the “average gamer” might not be the one reading this, it’s still a welcome change to the standard 15-minute samples we’re used to.
