That’s right, the voice of Solid Snake himself, David Hayter, said in a recent report from Cinematical.com, that the Metal Gear movie he was approached to write has been axed.

Sorry Snake, looks like no movie for you just yet...

Hayter has said that he was interested in writing a big screen adaptation for the blockbuster video game franchise since he obviously knows so much of the Metal Gear storyline.
“I know it pretty well. I think I can say without a contradiction that I know it better than any screenwriter on the planet. I’ve said every word that Snake has said. So I felt well-qualified.”

Hayter is not a typical house hold name, but his voice is well known to gamers in the Metal Gear game series as well as being a screenplay writer for blockbuster movies X-men and X2.
