In case you somehow manage to miss it in this Devil’s Third E3 2010 Trailer, provided exclusively by GameTrailers, Devil’s Third is the latest game created by Tomonobu Itagaki of Ninja Gaiden and Dead or Alive fame. One can definitely see the heritage in the martial arts, acrobatics and liberal use of katanas, but the thought that struck me upon seeing the trailer is how it would seem to be a distant successor of sorts to Soldier of Fortune in its sheer bloody-minded enjoyment of dismemberment and beheading. Though the third-person shooter genre is a new one to Itagaki, I have high hopes for this new entry to E3.
