According to the Xzone, an online gaming store in the Czech Republic (where Mafia 2‘s developers reside), 2K Games plans to release a DLC bundle featuring The Betrayal of Jimmy, Jimmy’s Vendetta, and Joe’s Adventures on one disc. The site refers to The Betrayal of Jimmy as “previously available only for PS3″, implying that Xbox 360 and non-pirating PC users will finally have access to it, although it is not yet known if it will first be made available via download or if it can only be obtained by purchasing the bundle. This raises a tough question for some: should you buy the DLC now and hope that The Betrayal of Jimmy releases on XBLA, or should you wait and purchase the bundle?

On the product page, Xzone lists the Mafia 2 DLC bundle with a November release, but this is not official as the bundle has not actually been announced by 2K Games just yet. Xzone plans on selling the bundle for 699 CKR, which converts to just under US$37. Given that all three DLC add-ons cost $32.50, US players shouldn’t expect to may much more than $30, if that. Stay tuned for more information, hopefully of the official nature.

In the meantime, feast your eyes on some of the newly-released screenshots for the upcoming Joes Adventures:

Still haven’t tried mafia ii, looks fun, but from what i’ve read it very linear for a “sandbox” game

The problem is that it isn’t actually a sandbox game like everyone expects it to be. Everyone goes into this thinking that it is GTA with a new skin, but the two are very different. They do control similarly, yes, but Mafia 2 focuses much more on storytelling…and it’s a damn good story (this is coming from someone who dislikes the mafia genre). Unlike GTA or RDR, every mission in the game advances the story. Some people take issue with the linearity, but it is a very enjoyable experience. This is easily the best 2010 release I have played so far (even above Mass Effect 2) and it is currently my top pick for GotY.
