After all the board meetings and think tanks, programming and re-writes, 18 hour days and deadlines; the overall “quality” of a game is the determinate between success and failure, and Id Software’s recent decision to integrate their production infrastructure with Swedish software vendor Hansoft is considered by the maker of DOOM, QUAKE, and Wolfenstein to be a lucrative endeavor as they re-figure their QA approach.

Hansoft is a project management and defect tracking tool for lean and agile projects, developed in close collaboration with leading developers around the world. The tool is designed to be fast and easy to use for everyone in the organization and flexible to the teams’ specific processes.
Hansoft just recently upgraded its’ software to 6.6 which includes new tools and usability improvements among other management enhancements. This upgrade comes just in time as Id Software is nearing post-production for Rage (10/04/11)
