Capcom, Capcom, where do we even begin? This generation Capcom has been nothing but appalling to many gamers through out the world. Not only ripping them off with DLC but also releasing 7 versions of the same game in so little time. The million dollar question is, how far is a gamer willing to go and continue supporting Capcom?
Now we all know how many versions of Street Fighter IV have been released. The Arcade edition, the Super edition, the Special edition, the Limited edition, the Rare edition and the Capcom is milking you edition. Now what’s actually surprising is all these games are selling because gamers are continuing to support Capcom.
Now since Capcom can see its evil plan is actually working, they release another highly anticipated title called Marvel VS Capcom 3 and surprise, surprise in less than a year, they’re already going to release a SUPER edition. What makes it even worse is Capcom has refused to release any of the new content in the new edition on either the PStore and the Xbox Market Place. They will only release it on disc and with no plans to place it as DLC in the near future. What’s so difficult about putting up the 12 new characters to download to the current original version of Marver VS Capcom 3? Nothing is the answer, but Capcom as usual is looking for a quick cash in, which is quite sickening because Capcom have constantly ripped off gamers the most this generation more than any other developer/publisher. You could say Call of Duty, but at least there wasn’t a new game being released with only a couple of new weapons in each COD game. What happens next? Gamers will continue to support them.
Now that Capcom is realising it’s pissing off numerous loyal fans that have followed it from the beginning, what does Capcom decide to do? Release High Definition remakes! Resident Evil 4 HD is on its way and since Capcom loves a quick cash in, what’s quicker than creating a whole new game? Just upscaling a game you’ve already developed. So I return back to the million dollar question, will gamers continue to support Capcom? Please let us know in the comments below.

I think it’s more Capcom’s inability to embrace the online business model more than anything. They seem to completely fail to acknowledge how much downloadable content benefits the consumer. I mean, all of these “Editions” are essentially just DLC, charged at full-game price. A publisher cannot be THAT blatantly greedy so as to implement a release structure as obviously greedy as what they are. Surely they realise people will be able to acknowledge how ridiculous these releases are? Sure, people buy them, but they are very, very quickly alienating its fanbase and just gamers in general. Did any of you play Lost Planet 2? Ew….

RE 5 is the last game I bought and it will remain the last, They can do more RE but not for me anymore, they aren`t listening to the fans, all they care about is the money, they are releasing pointless/fast cash in game editions under word Ultimate,Gold etc…
They gave Devil May Cry to western gay developers, why? Because their latest strategy is “We need more Resident Evil releases because is our top selling series” They original team is gone Mikami, Kamyia since their leaving all sequels has gone downhill.
I`m sure gamers arent stupid and will STOP to support Capcom until they start listening to the fans.
Who wants survival horror back? Every fan just go to Capcom forum. Who wanted Devil May Cry 5? Everyone! And what we got at the end?

capcom uses this strategy to keep on top. You think re releasing sf over and over again has anything to do with milking? no, it has its strategy. What game got the most hype at evo? this year, last year? sf…MK9 came along, for some competition, sf started to die a lil bit. Capcom releases SSF4 AE and once again, sf recovers its life leaving MK9 behind. SSF4 AE 2012, is coming out, and once again when that comes out, the top fighting game iwll be Street Fighter…its a strategy and its working. If youre offended, then you should dedicate urself to something else. As for me, bring it on, more sf the better. Its not just a game, its LIFE.
