Games:

Battlefield 3 (Release Date: October 25th.)

Price:

$59.99 – Standard & Digital Release

- Battlefield 3 is the OTHER Multiplayer FPS for this holiday season, you know what the other one is.. Battlefield 3 brings all of the eye candy that you loved in Battlefield: Bad Company 2 and then mixes it with the gameplay formula you know and love from the previous Battlefield titles (Mostly Battlefield 2…Mmmm) This game is definitely worth a pickup if you’re looking for some multiplayer that actually requires teamwork. Note that this game does require a beast of a computer to run comfortably online.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (Release Date: November 11th.)

Price:

$59.99 – Standard & Digital Release

$149.99 – Collector’s Edition

- What can I say, I’ve never been more excited for a video game release in my life. If Skyrim is even a fraction of the game that Oblivion of Morrowind was, we’re in for one hell of a treat. Skyrim is an Open World RPG set in a fantasy world teeming with all sorts of fantastical creatures. This game is a day one buy for any self-respecting Elder Scrolls fan, and is definitely worth a look for anyone even remotely interested in RPG’s or Open World titles.

Star Wars: The Old Republic (Release Date: December 20th.)

Price:

$59.99 – Standard Release

$149.99 – Collector’s Edition (Currently Unavailable Online.)

- Definitely a game with a lot of hype. Will this finally be the WoW killer? Probably not, but I have no doubts that Star Wars: The Old Republic will be an awesome title nonetheless, I mean it’s Bioware people, c’mon. The Old Republic is an MMORPG or Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game for those of you who live under rocks, (and if so welcome to the future!) The title is set in the Star Wars galaxy and will take place many centuries before the first prequel. If you’re a fan of MMORPG’s I would keep an eye out for initial reviews before purchasing. If you’re a die hard Star Wars fan who happens to love MMORPGs then by all means purchase the second it comes out, and lemme know what you think of it.

Batman: Arkham City (Release Date: November 15th.)

Price:

$49.99 – Standard & Digital Release

- Yes I know, we get Batman way after the console gamers have already gotten to enjoy one of the biggest hits of the year, but who cares. We get Direct X11 hehe. Batman: Arkham City is the sequel to Rocksteady’s 2009 Breakout hit, Batman:Arkham Asylum. If you haven’t played the first one I would recommend picking it up first, besides it is still one of the best games released this generation. Arkham City is an Action Adventure game that, well, it’s hard to describe. It’s just 100% awesome. A definite buy, especially for PC for the added graphical prowess.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 (Release Date: November 18th.)

Price:

$59.99 – Standard & Digital Release

- Oh boy, yet another Call of Duty game. Whether Modern Warfare 3 turns out to be good or more of the same there is no denying that it will sell millions of copies within the first couple hours. The Call of Duty series is the pinnacle of Online FPS games this generation and though it may get more attention on consoles Call of Duty originated on PC and is finally getting some exclusive love. With the added support to host your own servers and the fact that you have a keyboard and mouse instead of joysticks this is the version of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 you will want to own. Modern Warfare 3 is a First Person Shooter, the story though always extremely short, promises to be action packed and bring a thrilling conclusion to the storyline of Soap and Cpt.Price.

Minecraft (Release Date:November 18th.)

Price:

$21.95 – Digital Release (Not Gamestop, Official Minecraft Website.)

- I’ve personally never played Minecraft, not my cup of tea. But from everything I’ve heard from everybody who plays it, it is one of the most addicting games to ever grace the PC. Now Minecraft is finally releasing, or so they say. The release date for Minecraft has been looming on the horizon for awhile now seeing as it has been in Beta for a good chunk of time. Without this release date being set in stone this is one to keep an eye on if you enjoy the beta or alpha.

Saints Row The Third (Release Date: November 15th.)

Price:

$49.99 – Standard & Digital Release

- Saints Row, a poor mans Grand Theft Auto. This is the mold this series has always been cast in. Not if THQ has anything to say about it. With the third game in the Open World Action Adventure series Saints Row: The Third releasing this November THQ hopes to prove to all gamers worldwide that they can compete with Grand Theft Auto on at least some ground, and if nothing else they offer you a different type of gaming experience than the latter. A good pickup if you like the series or even just want something to tide you over until the next GTA title. I have no doubt that THQ will secure a good chunk of the market with another excellent edition to the Saints Row series.

Assassin’s Creed Revelations (Release Date: December 1st.)

Price:

$49.99 – Signature Edition

$89.99 – Ultimate Bundle

- With Assassin’s Creed: Revelations releasing the month before us PC gamers will again have to wait to get our super-awesome hands on this game. With Revelations Ubisoft is not only giving you Ezio, whom we’ve been playing as for the last two games. But also bringing Altair the ORIGINAL Assassin’s Creed Protaganist (If you can call him that) back. Ubisoft has stated that they will wrap up the Ezio story with this installment, and with their track record you can be sure Ezio will go out with a bang rather than a whimper. The Assassin’s Creed titles are stealth/ Action Adventure/ Platformer games, seriously Ubisoft has really found their niche when it comes to these types of games. Granted I would expect no less from the creative minds behind; Splinter Cell, Prince of Persia, and Assassin’s Creed to just name a few. A worthy title to add to you collection if you enjoy, uh, I guess enjoy playing good video games!

Serious Sam: BFE (Release Date. November 22nd.)

Price:

$39.99 – Digital Release

- We the PC gaming public have been waiting a LONG time for a TRUE successor to Serious Sam: The Second Encounter (we’re going to ignore Serious Sam 2.) Now, finally Croteam is giving us what we’ve been waiting for all along. The king of Gonzo Shooters is coming back, not that blonde hair doucher. The real king of shooters, Sam “Serious” Stone. For those who have never played Serious Sam, (Shame on you, they’re like 10 bucks on Steam go buy them) The series is easy to sum up, you play Sam Stone, Mental is trying to destroy to world, you have to stop him and his seemingly endless supply of goons, qeau the huge battle stages, tons of weapons, and 500,000,000,000 Enemies. It’s game time. If you like mind-numbing, blister building, rage inducing games then Serious Sam is perfect for you. At max difficulty it will not only test your gaming skills, it will test you faith in humanity….

L.A. Noire: The Complete Edition (Release Date: November 8th.)

Price:

$49.99 – Standard Release

$44.99 – Digital Release (On Sale For A Short Time.)

- It’s about time PC gamers get their hands on this gem of a game. Team Bondi put together one of the most technically impressive games I have ever seen with L.A. Noire. Combine that with the fact that we get added graphical goodness, and all the DLC and I say there is no better time than now to jump back in time and play detective! L.A. Noire is not like any other action game on the market today, so don’t go in expecting Red Dead Redemption or Grand Theft Auto, because you will be thoroughly disappointed. Instead if you’re interested in a deep story with gameplay that matches and don’t mind putting in the grunt work to accomplish all this game has to offer. Then I whole heartedly recommend this game to you or anyother wannabe detective you know.

RAGE (Release Date: October 4th.)

Price:

$59.99 – Standard & Digital Release

- Yes this title has been out for awhile, yes a lot of people didn’t like it, yes I still recommend you pick it up. Now that Id has addressed the graphical bugs they were having with the PC version of RAGE I feel this is the best times to pick up the first new IP from Id since, well, since I was a young squirt. This FPS is still among the best on the market today, with the market so flooded with every Call of Duty rip-off there is. RAGE is a post-apocalyptic shooter that not only combines one of the most power graphics engines there is today with great gunplay, it also adds in some phenomenal vehicular play. A good pickup for the FPS lover in the house.
