Have you bought your copy of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 yet, or are you still so engrossed in Battlefield 3 that you forget it was released today? Either way, I don’t think your one copy will make a difference if these statistics are ever remotely accurate.
Lazard Capital Markets’ Atul Bagga reported to GameSpot that Modern Warfare 3 has shipped roughly three times more copies than Battlefield 3, which was to be expected. This amount would put the shipping quantity at roughly 9 million, 70 Percent more than Modern Warfare 2 and 55 Percent more than last years’ Mega-Hit Black Ops. And to throw salt in EA’s wounds, analysts are predicting that Modern Warfare 3 will move roughly 20 Million copies by years end. Now I want to throw a little math at you, 20 Million (If every copy sells) times 60 dollars = 12,000,000,000
In case you don’t want to count all those zeros, that is 12 billion dollars, that’s a lot of moolah to start dumping into the next Call of Duty rehash!
