As many gamers(including myself) woke up this morning, they were expecting to turn on their Xbox 360′s to download the much anticipated fall update that everyone has been talking about as it was expected to be released at 10 am Eastern time. However, news out of the Microsoft camp is that the update has been slightly delayed for the time being as mentioned by Microsoft representative Major Nelson on his Twitter feed.
“FYI: The Timing for Xbox 360 dashboard update has been slightly delayed. I’ll have a status update later today.”
There is still no sign of the update and it is currently 3:45 PM Eastern time, stay tuned to this story as I will update throughout the day, and also click here to check out Major Nelson’s Twitter Feed for news and updates concerning the update and everything Xbox.
5:45 PM- Just logged onto Xbox live, still no update and no word from Microsoft.
6:53 PM- Microsoft is now saying that the first customers will be getting the update “within the next few hours.”
8:40PM- Major Nelson is reporting that the “first customers” should be getting it now, just logged on here in Florida and still nothing on my end.
10:45 PM- Microsoft has announced that it should now be available. I logged in and downloaded the update, but I am currently experiencing some connection issues.
12:27 AM- Microsoft has reported connection errors nationwide and are currently working on the issues.
