Though we haven’t seen an unbelievable amount of PC Exclusive titles this year. The ones we have received have been (mostly) high quality products. But without further ado let’s jump into the nominees for G3′s PC Game of The Year

The nominees for PC Game of The Year are.
Star Wars: The Old Republic

Minecraft
————————————————————————————————————————————————————————
Total War: Shogun 2

Biggest Disappointment of the Year
Some may consider this a cop out, but I have to take the same road as fellow G3′er Kevin and say that the biggest PC Disappointment of The Year is just the sheer lack of PC Exclusive products we received this year.

2011 PC Game of The Year
- Minecraft -
Whoa, whoa, whoa. Please stop bashing your fingers into your keyboard while holding your shift key for just a minute while I explain why Minecraft won PC Game of The Year and not any of the other stellar PC Exclusive titles we received this year.
Does Minecraft has Award Winning Graphics? No. Does is have amazing voice acting, story development, deep characters, rewarding combat system? No, no, no, and no… So what does Minecraft bring to the table?
Minecraft gives you the freedom to create anything you want. The sky is the limit (literally) when it comes to what you can accomplish in Minecraft. The biggest flaw with the title is that most of us just don’t have enough personal creativity to utilize and see every little thing that is possible in this game. The freedom to do, build, destroy, kill etc.. Whatever you want is really the big selling point.
A strong argument can be made for The Witcher 2, mostly because it is an extremely good game, but Minecraft is just so much more then that.

2011 Runner-Up
- The Witcher 2 –
There was no way I could crown Minecraft PC Game of The Year and not even mention anything about arguably the best PC Exclusive RPG we’ve had in a very, very long time. The Witcher 2 with its’ satisfying combat system, dark and engrossing storyline, beautiful graphics, and somehow relatable Anti-Hero Protagonist Geralt really help elevate this title to a whole new level of interactive gaming for PC gamers.

2011 Honorable Mention
- Star Wars: The Old Republic –
Star War: The Old Republic probably could’ve garnered itself more votes for PC Game of The Year had it been released much earlier in 2011. I personally only got to play the beta, but from what I’ve heard from reliable sources (brother-in-law who also played WoW in Beta and at Release) the launch of The Old Republic has been shaky at best. He stated there has been a lot of bugs and that the title felt rushed to release early thanks to the overlords (EA). Overall though the future for Star Wars: The Old Republic looks to be a bright one.
