Yes that’s right folks. Somebody has finally got the stones to attempt to develop a large (hopefully?) open-world RPG title using Crytek’s extremely powerful Crytek engine.
Who has the gall to try this you ask? Several developers who use to work for 2k Czech, and were part of the development team for the two Mafia titles. (which are awesome, if you haven’t tried them out)
They recently broke off from 2k Czech to start their own studio; Warhorse Studios. Martin Klima, author of the pen-and-paper RPG, Dragon’s Lair has also been linked to Warhorse Studios, so there is hope yet for this Open-World title that we have yet to even see, but are already worried it will suck… ( I have hope)
There are no details as of yet of what type of RPG this game will be, but let’s hope it’s a fantasy title, because we don’t already have enough sword and sorcery RPG’s floating around.
