Bioshock Infinite Finally Has A Release Date

This is joyous news. Bioshock Infinite is by far one my most anticipated titles of this year. Pretty much anything Ken Levine touches turns to gold.

Bioshock Infinite will be hitting store shelves October 16 in North America, and October 19 Internationally, on Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and PC.

For those who know nothing about Bioshock Infinite — you play as Booker DeWitt who use to be a Pinkerton Agent. He is sent to find a woman (Elizabeth) being held captive in the floating city named Columbia.

Though Bioshock Infinite is not a direct sequel to either of the Bioshock titles, it is a spiritual sequel, as the original Bioshock was to System Shock 2.
“After BioShock, we had a vision for a follow up that dwarfed the original in scope and ambition,” said Ken Levine, creative director at Irrational games. “BioShock Infinite has been our sole focus for the last four years, and we can’t wait for fans to get their hands on it.”

Well Ken the feeling is mutual, we can’t wait to get our hands on the game either.
