In a bit of surprise news out of the Microsoft camp today, it has been revealed that long time Xbox guru and Lionhead Studios creator Peter Molyneux will be leaving Microsoft and will be joining up and coming British game studio Twenty-Two Cans.
“I have left the lovely amazing Microsoft and lionhead,” Said Molyneux via his Twitter account. “Now for something really amazing, scary and brave a new company called 22 Cans.”
Peter Molyneux is most famous for his work on Microsoft’s Fable series as well as the Populous series back in the 90′s. This announcement comes just one day after Lionhead announced a new title in the Fable series titled ‘Fable Heroes.’
