Everybody who has even a remote interest in Gaming PC’s has known that this announcement would be coming eventually, (I’m still waiting on AMD’s response) but today Nvidia made it official. The new Dual GPU GeForce GTX 690 will be launching globally on May 3rd. Now according to the testing done by Nvidia, which the validity of these tests is always debatable, the GTX 690 crushes everything in its’ path. (graphs below.)
I’ve personally never used a Dual GPU Video Card. The reasoning behind that is first and foremost the ridiculous cost of the these Enthusiast level cards, and secondly, I’ve never been somebody who uses a 30″ (2560×1600) or a multiple monitor setup. Still, this is an important day for enthusiasts all over the world. With the launch of the GTX 690, the 3rd of May, they will finally be able to drop $1,000… Yes you read that correctly, $1,000 on a brand spanking new, top-of-the-line video card.
