Tom Hanks is one of the best when it comes to exceeding our expectations – like teaming up with Steven Spielberg to create the 2001 Emmy Award winning mini-series, ‘Band of Brothers’. It was this mini-series’ that inspired the storyline for the ‘Brothers in Arms’ games.
It is only befitting to have another game evolve from the magical Hollywood doing of Hanks – this one is an RPG entitled, ‘Electric City’ – a mobile platforming mystery game. But this time around, Hanks’ DNA is written all over it.
With the help of mobile developer Jump Games – in collaboration with Hanks’ film and production firm, Playtone – Electric City comes to life through the voice work of ‘A-list’ actors like; Jeanne Tripplehorn (Basic Instinct, The Firm), and Emmy Award winner, Holland Taylor (The Practice, Two and a Half Men), and starring Tom Hanks – of course!

The Synopsis
The world as we know it has ended, and out of the rubble, the Electric City stands as a symbol of peace and security. Yet under the veneer of order lies a world full of secrets and violence. Secret police, back-alley dealings, daring chases, and murder all find a home in the Electric City.
Through the lens of a functioning yet dystopian metropolis, Electric City touches upon relevant global issues and themes including energy consumption, freedom of information, crime and punishment and more. The story unfolds gradually, layering mystery upon mystery, inviting viewers to interact with the content as well as each other.
Metaphors and symbols are woven throughout, creating a perfect environment for puzzle-solving and community interaction. Like good science fiction, Electric City raises provocative questions about our own way of life and value systems.
