Arc System Works has released a patch for the Xbox 360 version of Persona 4: The Ultimate in Mayonaka Arena, fixing the latency issues that have plagued the game since launch….just 2 days ago. This is quite the rapid response to a problem, coming as a surprise given the history of patches rapidly fixing anything on the Microsoft platform. Fighting game developers take note of the speed, or wizardry, that Arc System Works used to deploy this much needed fix.
Having been grinding out on the PS3 version, I personally, haven’t had any issues. One of my buddies that picked up the 360 version (Along with many an angry forum user) let me know that the online was more or less unplayable on launch day. Plagued with dropped connections and horrendous lag, these issues are now an easily forgotten memory.
I am glad this problem has been fixed for 360 users. This game is not only great from a Persona fan’s view, but also from a fighting game standpoint. I urge anyone that is a fan of either Persona or Arc System Works fighting games to consider checking this game out.
