A rare treat has been given to fans of the Halo games today, as IGN.com has posted the entire Halo 4 soundtrack on their website along with an interview with Massive Attack producer Neil Davidge. The feel of the music hearkens back to the original Marty O’Donnell soundtrack, but also manages to create a completely different atmosphere with a larger emphasis on electronic, futuristic style. Davidge notes that while the common saying around 343 Industries was “Evolution not revolution”, meaning that they were looking to pay homage to O’Donnell’s score while also creating an original sound that would define the new Halo trilogy. The original music is also accompanied by remix tracks and they are totally worth a listen, even for non Halo fans. Check it out here at IGN.com
