That’s right folks, we’re just about to go under the 20 hour mark until the release of Black Mesa. I find it amazing that with all of the excellent AAA titles coming out soon and recently, that I am most excited to relive a 14 year old memory.
Thanks to everybody who helped vote for Black Mesa. Since we all did our part, we were more than able to get Black Mesa approved for Steam Greenlight, meaning that when it comes out at 7:30am tomorrow, we will be able to get it directly on Steam.
For those of you curious what you’ll need to play Black Mesa, it’s quite simple really. If you have any games installed that are from 2007 or newer made by Valve, such as the Orange Box (which is the version that Black Mesa is built on) than you should be fine, just check to make sure that you have Source SDK Base 2007 installed, and you will be good to go. If you don’t have it, don’t fret you can get the Source SDK Base 2007 here.
