Nuclear Dawn Beta First Impressions

I love strategy, and I love shooting things. It's such a shame that there's very few games to fulfill my small niche; Natural Selection, Empires, Battlefield 2, but it's hard to blame the developers because the mixture of strategy and action genres is like oil and water - they don't blend, and when they do come together, bad things tend to happen, for example, dying birds and sea creatures. Five of the Worst Gaming Communities To Date
0 CommentsPosted by ItsEvan on June 8, 2011 under Articles & News, Original Content
Nearly every game is enjoyed better with friends, but when we're all alone, vulnerable, and no group chat to automatically mute everyone in-game, these are the communities that don't play nice; I suggest you avoid any contact with them, lest you have your body composition, sexual orientation, IQ, age, or gender questioned. Dystopia I think that it's somehow appropriate that a mod taking plac... more. -

The Ten Most Unique First Person Shooters

A unique FPS is almost a contradictory statement. The gaming industry is permeated with them, but here's a couple that I felt stood out among the rest. Let's get rid of the obvious ones first, and then move on to the more obscure ones in detail: Doom: It was the first FPS to be created. 3d environments, 2d enemies... it was really awesome in it's time and resembles a benchmark in gaming hist... more. -
The Witcher 2 – Tips and Tricks

Witcher's work sure isn't easy; and the pay rates pretty lousy too, but with a few tips and tricks, you too can become an expert monster slayer in no time! (All this information comes from someone who's beaten the game on Normal, with Swordsman masteries) Quen Kiting: Even though Geralt slayed mythical beasts, torn down conspiracies and abolished curses, he's still human.. or at least som... more. -
Is Modern Warfare 3 Recycling Animations?

CLICK TO ENLARGE IMAGES The actual reveal trailer for Modern Warfare 3 didn't leave me much to work with, but what I did find out may stir some resentment (or apathy!) of what the newest installment of the franchise has to offer. I could have included the running, reloading, and taking cover animations, but I figured that it was pretty standard to keep those in as well. [caption id="atta... more. -
Critics are Biased – and that’s Okay

Let's be honest here - we are both human, you and I. There's no reason for us to be unbiased, we gaming critics aren't some kind of omnipotent, all knowing gaming demigods of the universe, we are all mortal. In fact, being biased is something to be praised, not scolded for. It allows us to give our feedback to the target demographics that we best represent. Most of the games that we play usually s... more. -

To alleviate the less than optimal launch of Brink, Splash Damage has decided to make the first installment of DLC for free. The new DLC will definitely contain new maps, and possibly new content to go along with it. It will be launched sometime in June. Brink at launch suffered from laggy matchmaking, poor AI and slow-loading textures, which all contributed to it receiving low scores by ... more. -
