  • Wiikly WiiWare Wiiview: Zoo Disc Golf, Lead The Meerkats, and Reel Fishing Challenge II 0 CommentsPosted by on June 13, 2010 under Articles & News, Columns
Welcome to another installment of Wiikly WiiWare Wiiview. The games this week were Zoo Disc Golf, Lead The Meerkats, and Reel Fishing Challenge II. These WiiWare reviews were rather difficult for me this time around because this was easily one of the worst weeks in WiiWare history. Nearly every minute of these barebones games was excruciating and I would have loved to simply stamp the games... more.

Welcome to another installment of Wiikly WiiWare Wiiview. Things are a bit different this time around because someone apparently thought it would be funny to hack the Go! Gaming Giant servers last weekend, which left me unable to publicize the latest reviews. As such, I have decided to combine last week's review with this week's to create one large WiiWare extravaganza. The games for last w... more.

When I was a bit younger, racing games were a blast. Super Mario Kart, Road Rash, Cruis'n USA, San Francisco Rush...these were some of my favorite games. And then out of nowhere, boring racing simulation games like Gran Turismo and Forza became popular and it just wasn't the same anymore. These games focused more on being realistic and less on being fun, so I completely lost interest. Year... more.

  • Wiikly WiiWare Wiiview: Blood Beach and Bit.Trip Runner 0 CommentsPosted by on May 23, 2010 under Articles & News, Columns
Welcome to another installment of Wiikly WiiWare Wiiview. The games this week were Blood Beach and Bit.Trip Runner. This isn't necessarily the best week of WiiWare, but it is certainly better than most recent weeks. Although one of the new releases received a fairly low score from me this week, both games can be enjoyed by the right audience. Perhaps one of them will be your cup of tea... ... more.
  • Split/Second Review 0 CommentsPosted by on May 19, 2010 under Articles & News, Reviews
Sometimes, all you really want to do is watch stuff explode, and it would seem that the folks at Black Rock Studio concur. A rather odd release for Disney, Split/Second is a fast-paced in-your-face racing game of fury. It sets out to change the world of arcade racing and breathe some life into the near-dead genre, and to an extent, it is somewhat successful. It doesn't always hit its mark, ... more.

Welcome to another installment of Wiikly WiiWare Wiiview. The games last week were Chess Challenge! and Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Trials & Tribulations. Sorry for the slight delay, folks. I usually try to have these done by each weekend, but last week was a particularly busy one as I was fulfilling the last of my requirements for an Associates of Science degree. It was rather taxing, ... more.

Lionhead Studios gives us another look at their highly anticipated upcoming game, Fable III. As always, Peter Molyneux goes on and on about the various features, gets overly excited, and hypes the game up to epic proportions. Still, Fable III looks great and the below dev diary is fully loaded with clips of Monty Python's John Cleese voicing his role as the butler. While I have never been a... more.

Fallout fans should be pleased to know the Fallout: New Vegas Collector's Edition has been announced and it is looking quite nice. • Split/Second conference call 0 CommentsPosted by on under Featured, Interviews, News
Last Friday, our buddy Chase from Access Communications invited Go! Gaming Giant to a conference call with Nick Baynes, the Game Director for Black Rock Studio, the developers behind Split/Second. Although a mostly non-interactive call, listening to Nick excitedly talk about their latest release and answer questions that we—and other members of the press—submitted beforehand was a real tre... more.
  • Wiikly WiiWare Wiiview: Kung Fu Funk and Zombie Panic In Wonderland 0 CommentsPosted by on May 9, 2010 under Articles & News, Columns
Welcome to another installment of Wiikly WiiWare Wiiview. The games this week were Kung Fu Funk and Zombie Panic In Wonderland. Weeks like this make me wonder why developers even bother. Granted, one of the new games is pretty decent, but the other is downright insulting to gaming as a whole. See below to find out which is which... Kung Fu Funk I hate my life right now. Really, I do... more.
  • Nier Review 3 CommentsPosted by on May 8, 2010 under Articles & News, Reviews
Given the amount of controversy surrounding certain aspects of Nier, it has surprisingly received very little attention in the media. This latest title from Cavia and Square Enix hasn't seen much coverage lately and it had a fairly quiet release, and as a result, many people don't seem to know a whole lot about it. That is fairly understandable because in addition to this being a somewhat ob... more.
