Perfect Dark Review
0 CommentsPosted by Brandon on March 17, 2010 under Reviews
Ahhh, the golden days of gaming, when life was simple and health bars were standard. The Nintendo 64 was my first endeavor into gaming, and seeing that I now live and breathe games, it fittingly holds a special place in my heart. Unfortunately, all good things come to end. Ashes to ashes, dust to dust, and all that, and my beloved console was lost in a flood. While the material object is gone,... more. -

For those of you wanting some more Modern Warfare 2 content, be prepared to open up your wallets. Infinity Ward's Robert Bowling revealed the first details on the "Stimulus Pack" on Larry Hyrb's podcast, revealing that the five maps, two of which are simply ported from Call of Duty 4, will cost an astonishing 1200 Microsoft Points, which equates to $15. $3 for each map if you want to get techn... more. -
Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Review
0 CommentsPosted by Brandon on under Reviews
I gave up trying on Modern Warfare 2 a long time ago. The uneven difficulty in multiplayer, with the "good get better and the bad never improve" structure pissing me off to no end. But I stuck through it and played for the social aspect, mainly due to the fact that all my friends seemed to enjoy it and I enjoyed talking to my friends. Lucky for me, a little game called Bad Company 2 came aroun... more. -
Greed Corp Review
0 CommentsPosted by Brandon on March 7, 2010 under Reviews
Greed is a powerful thing, able to drive men to destructive lengths to achieve whatever it is they are after. Consequently, it has its own circle of hell, but that's a story for a different day. No, I am here to discuss a little game called Greed Corp, a beautiful piece from W!Games and one of the best land grab games I have played to date. While simple in thought and design, Greed Corp finds succ... more. -
GLAAD Partners With M’Soft, Incorporates Sexual Orientation Labels
1 CommentsPosted by Brandon on March 5, 2010 under News
While the US military does its own thing with the "don't ask, don't tell" policy, Microsoft has their own agenda for the issue of sexual orientation and discrimination. In the past, homosexual gamers have been disappointed to find that the revealing of their sexual orientation, let alone putting it in their own gamertag, was considered sexually explicit and therefore against the Live code of condu... more. -
How Game Companies Got Their Names
3 CommentsPosted by Brandon on February 24, 2010 under Original Content
It's difficult to pick a name that will represent yourself. We all know the feeling from when we picked our gamertag, PSN id, Steam id, etc., and we did so with the thought of how this name would help depict what kind of person you are. While a gaming name tag is a little less profile, every company has a clever reason for choosing their name. I've compiled a list of the most clever and creative n... more. -
Early Buyers of Darksiders Get Red Faction For Free
0 CommentsPosted by Brandon on February 13, 2010 under News
If you bought Darksiders early enough, you should have received a mysterious card with a redeemable code on it. It seems that the code has found a purpose, so hopefully you held onto it. THQ recently announced that players with the code will be awarded with a digital book featuring Darksiders art, videos, and "other awesome stuff." While that sounds all good and dandy, the real reward is the f... more. -
Movies That NEED Game Translations
1 CommentsPosted by Brandon on under Original Content
I, as a gamer, am tired of the terrible games that come along with every children's movie or action-packed summer flick. But there are certain movies that truly need a video game rendition. You see, there is one area that developers have rarely tapped into for inspiration. I am talking about the classic movies that we have all seen and loved. There are rare cases, like maybe The Godfather or Star... more. -
Mass Effect 2 Review

There's a common term in trilogies: sequel-itis. When a new series like Mass Effect is introduced, it's important to note how well the first game is received. Obviously, the first was a success, and I bet it is sitting on your game shelf right now. When it came time for the series second installment to be released, people became skeptical yet excited. You see, when a sequel is released, people bec... more.
