Top 10 Unfair Gaming Moments
9 CommentsPosted by Luke on October 9, 2009 under E3, Original Content
Video games are a great way to shrug off the dreary and dull strain of regular life, and engage in a fantastical world of whimsy and wonder. They're designed in a way to challenge the player, and for anyone that has ever finished a game the sense of accomplishment is extremely satisfying and even a little addictive. Most games are thoroughly tested by tireless men and women so that the end produ... more. -
Silent Hill’s Retelling
3 CommentsPosted by John on June 15, 2009 under E3, Previews
During E3, it was revealed that the original Silent Hill is getting not only a graphical face lift but also a new spin on the storytelling and evolution of the A.I. in quite a few ways. If it works, Silent Hill: Shattered Memories could be one of the best games in the series. (more...)... more.

Hey guys, just a quick little article here. E3 is over now and I have had some time to reflect on what my game of the show was. Honestly it was a very tough choice but I think I made the right one. For those that know me well, my choice will probably surprise and shock you. So, without further ado, I present to you, my E3 Game of the Show. (more...)... more.

Who won E3? Sony Vs Microsoft Vs Nintendo
12 CommentsPosted by Richard on under E3, Original Content
So now that we've had a week to reflect on all of the big three press conferences (Sony, Microsoft & Nintendo), it's time to pick a victor. We're gonna pick some categories and we'll see who won that round. Who ever wins the most rounds wins, so we're looking for variety, not lots aimed at one specific genre/demographic. We're also counting 3rd party games as 1st Party, so Modern Warfare... more.

[Originally posted on Gamestooge] Thanks to Jonah Falcon and Gamestooge for the article! By popular demand, I took in a live demo of Halo 3: ODST, the latest Halo crack cocaine to be coming down the pike for the Xbox 360. Community Manager Brian Jarrard showed off a significant amount of gameplay, both single player campaign and co-op multiplayer. I’m happy to report that Halo fans wo... more.

[Originally posted on Gamestooge] Thanks to Jonah Falcon and Gamestooge for the article! It’s a cliché, but in this case it just happened to be true: the last game I was exposed to turned out to be far and away the Game of the Show: Brink. There were pretty good games at E3 ‘09, including some of the stalwart IPs such as God of War III, Forza Motorsport 3, and Halo 3: ODST. There we... more.

NEVER!

We don't usually plug podcasts here at G3 (unless they're our own) but this video using audio from the Giant Bomb's Bombcast is so funny we just couldn't resist making a post about it. In the video, Gerstmann and the gang throw a punch at Nintendo's E3 Press Conference and how they represented the games market. Just a quick warning that the above video is NSFW.... more.

A Solid Shooter For The Wii

Another game that was not on my radar before E3 was The Conduit. A game I had heard of but knew very little about. After seeing the E3 coverage though I am very impressed. It looks like the Wii will be getting a great FPS in the form of The Conduit. G4 showed off an impressive demo of the game and for all you Wii users I think you should keep your eye on this game. Check out the video after ... more.
