  • Saw II: Flesh and Blood Trailer 0 CommentsPosted by Brandon on July 1, 2010 under E3, News
Here's the trailer for the second game based on the thriller movie series, Saw II: Flesh and Blood. The first game, while certainly flawed, was an interesting approach to a movie based on inflicting pain on yourself, something that obviously can't be felt in a video game. The game basically had you saving others by completing increasingly difficult puzzles, while defending yourself from various th... more.
  • E3 2010: The Witcher 2 Improvements 0 CommentsPosted by Fabian Kerschl on June 25, 2010 under E3, News
The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings, to give it its full title, appears to be the dream sequel. It seeks to build on that which made the original game great, while transforming or outright cutting out its predecessor's (admittedly often troubling) imperfections. Where the Witcher was often technically unstable (both in terms of framerate and sometimes bizarre bugs), the E3 demo of the sequel, e... more.

Kevin Butler's epic speech at Sony's E3 2010 press conference is by now the stuff of internet legend, and you can experience it for yourself above. For those that don't know, Kevin Butler is not actually a Sony executive, he is a fictional character played by the actor Jerry Lambert. He has so far held a number of titles within Sony, including VP of First Person Shooter Relations, Epic Footage... more.
  • E3 2010: Medal of Honor Multiplayer Details 0 CommentsPosted by Fabian Kerschl on June 17, 2010 under E3, News
Watching the above trailer, once you learn to live with the music not being attached to footage of giant transforming robots, you might come to the conclusion that you are seeing some sort of love child of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Battlefield: Bad Company 2. You would not be far wrong. Of course, it is now commonly known that DICE, creators of Battlefield, are developing the Medal o... more.
  • E3 2010: Dead Rising 2 – Case Zero Trailer 0 CommentsPosted by Fabian Kerschl on under E3, News
Until the latter stages of it, you would be forgiven for being sceptical that this is even a Dead Rising 2: Case Zero trailer. Everything we've seen so far of Dead Rising 2 has been more in the "motorbikes with attached chainsaws" vein of storytelling, so the fact that the prologue to it actually appears to have a compelling narrative is quite a shock. For those that don't know, Case Zero is ... more.
  • Meet NeverDead, The Next Great Horror Game 0 CommentsPosted by Brandon on June 16, 2010 under E3, Featured, Previews
Meet NeverDead, the new action/horror IP from Konami. While just announced, it is already looking to be one of the better low profile games at this year's E3. The game will take place in a world in danger of a demonic plague, and as the only immortal badass in the area, it's your job to clean up after the baddies. The game spans over a vast city landscape full of human versus demon fighting, and i... more.
  • E3 2010: Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Trailer Explained 0 CommentsPosted by Fabian Kerschl on under E3, News
The trailer above kicked off the debut showing of Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit with a bang, demonstrating the new vision Criterion Games has for the franchise. Ever since I heard that Criterion was developing the next Need for Speed, I've been excited, as I'm a big fan of their Burnout series. When the game was first shown at EA's E3 2010 press conference, I was delighted to see the concepts on... more.
  • E3 2010: Gears of War 3 Beast Mode Details 0 CommentsPosted by Fabian Kerschl on under E3, News
IGN brings us the above footage of Gears of War 3's Beast Mode, the details of which are emerging from E3 2010. If you've played Gears of War 2, you've probably indulged in anywhere between one and a few thousand hours of Horde mode, depending upon personal preference. You might think of Beast mode as being Horde mode, but the shoe is on the other foot - you are not a group of COGs surviving w... more.
  • E3 2010: PlayStation Move “Shooting Attachment” 0 CommentsPosted by Fabian Kerschl on under E3, News
Sony has revealed the PlayStation Move "Shooting Attachment" at E3 2010. Perhaps they wanted to avoid calling it a gun, or maybe they were just straying from the "light gun" tag, as that's not technically what it is. Nevertheless, it's a gun accessory for the PS3, and as you can see, the Move wand controller attaches into it, giving over its trigger control to the actual trigger on the gun. Th... more.
  • E3 2010: GoldenEye a Remake, Not a Clone 0 CommentsPosted by Fabian Kerschl on under E3, News
For those of you that have been dreaming of a perfect clone of the N64 classic GoldenEye 007 for the Wii, I'm afraid you may be disappointed. For the rest of us, this might actually be good news, of a sort. Apparently the remake is trying to tread a fine line between keeping enough references and inspiration from the original to appeal to those fans and retain the "magic" that made it one of t... more.
  • E3 2010: Portal 2 Co-op Details 0 CommentsPosted by Fabian Kerschl on under E3, News
Details of Portal 2's co-op mode are beginning to emerge from E3 2010 now. While the exact context of the cooperative story is still not clear, what is now known is that you do not play as humans - one of you will be one of the Aperture Science automated turrets, and the other is a "personality sphere".  GlaDOS, the somewhat demented AI villain and only real "character" of the first game (not... more.

Words cannot do justice how incredible this trailer is. Few things are as cool and bada** as what you're about to watch. Imagine if this was what Episode I through III was supposed to have. This clip will make you geek out, even if you're not a big Star Wars fan. Oh, and I heard that there's a game in there somewhere. Good luck finding it. ... more.
