Borderlands is the new FPS/RPG mashup from developers Gearbox. The game had a lot of hype surrounding it, mixing two genres usually results in failure, but Borderlands was hyped as the game that could pull it off. Zombie Island of Dr. Ned Review

The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned is the first piece of DLC for Borderlands, the new FPS/RPG from Gearbox. Retailing for about $10, the DLC provides an entire new area with new enemies, new characters, new quests and a new plotline. With a still a week before release, Gearbox has already decided to announce the first DLC for Borderlands. Borderlands in short is a science fiction role-playing shooter. It is in development by Gearbox Software, makers of the Brothers in Arms series and the PC port of Halo. Not something typical of any type of game. I guess we'll just have to hope it works out for 2K and gearbox. It definitely is unique, but it shows nothing at all about the game. Gearbox has already came out and said that the art style and gameplay was a huge risk on their part, so I guess they decided to continue the risks with the box art.
